TETS Principles of transparency

  • Peer review process: All the TETS Journal content is blind, peer-reviewed by external expert reviewers who are not members of the journal’s editorial staff.
  • Governing body: The TETS Journal has an editorial board whose members are established experts in the areas of translator education and Translation Studies.
  • Editorial team: The full names and affiliations of the journal’s editorial team are provided on the journal’s homepage, including the full names and affiliations of the journal’s editors.
  • Contact information: Contact details of the editorial office, including the full postal address and a Contact Us email form are provided on the the journal’s homepage.
  • Author fees: The TETS Journal does not charge any fees or charges for manuscript processing and/or publishing materials in the journal.
  • Copyright: Copyright and licensing information is provided on the journal’s homepage, and licensing terms are additionally indicated on all published articles.
  • Research misconduct: The TETS Journal editors take all the steps within their means to identify and prevent research misconduct. Therefore, the journal’s editors refuse to publish papers which are a case of plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. It is the journal’s explicit internal policy to discourage research misconduct disallow such misconduct to take place. In the event that the TETS Journal‘s editors become aware of any allegation of research misconduct in relation to a published article, they shall follow the Committee’s On Publication Ethics’s (COPE’s) guidelines in dealing with the matter.
  • Ownership and management: The TETS Journal‘s ownership and/or management details are provided on the journal’s homepage.
  • Website: The TETS Journal‘s aim is to take steps which are necessary to ensure that the journal’s homepage, including the content published, meets high ethical and professional standards.
  • Conflicts of interest: The TETS Journal follows its own policies on handling potential conflicts of interest of editors, authors, and reviewers, which are explicated on the journal’s homepage.
  • Access: The TETS Journal and individual articles are available to readers on an open access basis, i.e. free of charge. No subscription or payment is necessary to access the journal’s content.
  • Revenue: The revenue necessary to administrate and maintain the TETS Journal‘s homepage is provided by the Pedagogical University of Cracow.
  • Advertising: The TETS Journal does not accept and publish any commercial advertising.
  • Publishing schedule: The TETS Journal is published on a quarterly basis.
